I never imagine myself standing in front of many people and playing guitar or any instrument, but to my surprise, I'm actually playing guitar, not just for entertainment but because the main reason I'm playing is to praise God.
I'm not interested in anything, but playing guitar catches my attention.
When I was 12 years old, in our church, we needed a second generation who would follow in the footsteps of the first generation of musicians. So when there was a chance and the music head asked me if I was interested in playing an instrument, at first I doubted because what if I couldn't do it? What if I wasn't able to do it? What if, what if, what if everywhere? And at that age, I always thought that I was talentless and couldn't do anything.
But I take the risk. I try it. If I can do it, why not pursue it? The first-generation guitarist taught me the basics of how to play guitar until I practiced on my own, and the day came that I would play in our church. Because I was a first-timer, I was nervous and overthinking anything until it continued and I was given a chance to play in a concert in a different church, a revival, and in our own church concert.
I am so happy even that I never see myself doing it, but I actually do it, and now I'm loving it, and I really can't see myself stopping playing guitar because it has become part of my life.
Continue to praise Him through your God-given talent! 🙌
