Paws

Dog? "NO!, Dogs might bite you, and they were so aggressive." That mindset stuck in my mind, but when pandemic strikes, I get bored at home, like I have nothing to do and I don't like to just use phones or watch TV. I want to do something else, so I ask my parents if I can adopt a dog since mother's brother has a pregnant dog and is expecting a puppy, and I want to have one. At first, my mother didn't want it, but because I'm stubborn, I got what I wanted, and she just makes sure that I'll take care of it. I thought it was just one until my father brought home another puppy, and I was so happy because I wouldn't be sad or lonely anymore inside the house.

"What if you adopt a cat too?" someone asked me, and I was like, "No, I don't like cats; their poop is disgusting, and I don't know how to take care of them". But there was this day that there were oldies who wanted me to adopt their old cat because they couldn't take care of it anymore,so I thought, What if I tried to take care of a cat? because with a dog, I was able to recognize their personality, so with a cat , I decided to adopt it because I know that I can take care of them because there is no schoolwork because of the pandemic.

I thought I would just have two dogs and one cat, but to my surprise, the small family I took care of became big family, and it turns out I adopted again three kittens and one big dog, so in total I have 7 pets, but sadly, the one old cat died, so right now I have 3 dogs and 3 cats.

The pandemic is a blessing in disguise in terms of finding a comfort place.My pets became my comfort person because they have the ability to listen to my rants and the good things that happen to me; they never judge me, they never leave me, and they never ask why I am always lonely because they know I have them. When I'm at my lowest, they are here, through ups and downs. For real, no offence; they were 100% much better than a real human. All my secrets were safe with them, unlike humans, who don't know if they're trustworthy or not.

I can't live without them; they are my life, my home, my peace, and my safe paw.
